With a strong growth and expanding areas of service, Stryker needed additional space adjacent to their existing properties to house new administrative offices, training rooms, and a mock operating room training facility.
The decision to buy the building where they rented space for their warehouse and distribution provided the logical step in their growth. Keeping the existing operation intact inside the basement of the two story premanufactured warehouse structure allowed a new entrance and façade of custom steel framed glass wall to be installed along with an entirely new renovation of the first floor for offices and meeting areas. The existing structure was exposed for additional ceiling height and interest while providing a subtle allusion to the medical and technological aspects of the business. The remaining space on the lower level expansion provided both classroom and mock operation facilities for training and education. Glass walls into the distribution area provide glimpses into their products and real-time reference to their training goals.
