Disability Rights and Resources

Located in the heart of the Civil Rights district, Disability Rights and Resources is an 8,000 square foot facility providing independent living services for people with disabilities.

The building is designed as a model for universal design, sustainability and the national disability rights movement. Universal design features include: flush surface transitions from outdoor parking and sidewalk zones to the building's interior, deliberate changes in paving surface texture as tactile aids to blind pedestrians and the use of vibrant color canopies as directional cues to the central lobby.
