This renovation of the uppermost level of Shipt Tower is the headquarters of Burr & Forman, a law firm operating throughout the Southeast.
Nods to the diamond and triangle as symbols of balance are found throughout the space and represent the balancing scales of justice.
The circulation path within the space leads to four large quadrant windows and brings the unique diamond form of the existing building to life and symbolizes the balancing scales of justice.
This path continuously connects each of the spaces, allowing for visual and acoustic privacy and natural movement throughout the floor during large or small functions.
The subtle gradient of the inner core’s wallcovering was used to provide additional acoustic buffering and represent the law’s ability to bring justice and light to dark and unresolved circumstances.
The design features a large cafeteria, classrooms for training and meetings, and a community room for events featuring a large tv for presentations.
Folding, nesting tables and rolling chairs help make these spaces versatile and each space is easily able to be re-configured for various group sizes and events.
