Alabama Farm Credit

A renovation for this agricultural lender's operational headquarters

After years of tremendous growth, Alabama Farm Credit needed a new office space to house their operational headquarters in Cullman, Alabama.

Formerly a Wells Fargo, the building’s prime location and ample square footage were ideal for this large company.

Alabama Farm Credit has provided financing to help their members purchase farms and rural properties for over 100 years, so their space needed to reflect their history and expertise.

The addition of windows and steel entry canopies transformed the exterior, increased the natural light inside the building and revitalized this prominent corner of downtown Cullman.

Organic, high-quality materials such as leather and suede, and a warm, natural color palette with pops of blue tie back to the company brand and their work with farms.

The custom reception desk and millwork patterns used throughout the office reference Alabama Farm Credit’s logo mark—an abstract representation of an aerial view of crops.

The kitchen and break room include a variety of seating to facilitate meals, meetings and social events and provide a comfortable atmosphere for individual or small group work. Folding glass doors open to a patio that can be used as an extension of the break room or as a separate gathering space.

Beyond the break area, the 43,000 SF office consists of a variety of conference rooms, original vaults used for storage, a library and a work room, private offices with sit/stand desks, and a large board room that can accommodate over 30 people.

Overall, the design choices create a sophisticated and functional office space for Alabama Farm Credit and reflects their brand, strength, and reliability.
